What is AC Tune Up Service?
An AC tune-up is a preventative service designed to keep your air conditioning system operating at peak efficiency. At Air Force One, we treat each tune-up as a full health inspection of your HVAC equipment. Our technicians check refrigerant pressures, amp draws, and voltage to make sure your system is running within safe operating ranges. We also tighten wire connections, calibrate blower speeds, and record supply and return vent temperatures to confirm your AC is cooling properly.
A tune-up also focuses on the smaller details that make a big difference in long-term performance. We clean coils with chemical washes, balance blower motors, and clear debris like leaves from the outdoor condenser. We flush drain lines, calibrate and program thermostats, and advise homeowners on the proper filters to use for clean airflow. By addressing these items during routine maintenance, we help prevent costly breakdowns, improve energy efficiency, and extend the life of your system.
Our tune-up service is designed to deliver peace of mind, knowing your AC is ready for the hottest months of the year. With regular professional inspections, you can expect lower energy bills, fewer repair calls, and more consistent comfort in every room of your home.

Air Force One is the only company I trust to replace, repair, or service the HVAC controls for my home. In our last home, we went through five companies after a bad install that led to leaking in our home and other issues. Thankfully, Air Force One was the last company that we encountered from all the rest who had to completely RE -replace a unit that was improperly installed. They did an excellent and amazing job! We never had another issue after they installed the air unit! In our present home, we had a HVAC unit that failed. We went through our warranty company to seek repairs who failed us. I immediately called Air Force One thereafter. From the beginning to the end, Nico did a great free second opinion consultation to address the system and what needed to be done. We were approved to get a new HVAC unit!! He carefully addressed our concerns and recommended with honesty the right unit for our home. Phillip and Brandon did an amazing job to professionally and carefully remove the old system and replace it with a brand new unit. They were excellent, knowledgeable and took their time to let the unit run and left our home in a neat condition. We have been thru a lot with the HVAC controls for two homes now. I would only trust Air Force One from this point forward with our units! If you are looking for a HVAC controls specialist, Air Force One is the one to choose hands down!!!Posted on Leslie Price2025-08-29Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Best company around! Steven, Jeremy, Amber, Nico, George, and Clay are outstanding!! Super ethical, honest, dedicated, won't quit until your completely satisfied and go above and beyond that. Over 11 years fighting with home warranty company to fix, promise to fix our HVAC and never delivered. This company came in, and delivered as promised. Cancelled home warranty, and will use them only. Thank you for all you have done to get us comfortable and truly appreciate the superior quality all of you have given!Posted on Ralph Jennings2025-08-22Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. A health inspection of your HVAC equipment in which we check pressures, amp draws, voltage, tightening wire connections, removing leaves from outdoor condenser and calibrating the blower speed. We also record the temperatures from both the return and supply vents.
Check the breaker, as well as the condensation safety switch. The low voltage fuse could also be blown which is another source of a possible problem. The fix could be as simple as changing the batteries in the back of the thermostat.
Our process is to change the filter and reset breaker in the breaker panel. If this doesn’t work it could be a capacitor, a bad contactor or the control board has failed.
Most likely the compressor is shorted to ground causing an arc inside the compressor which causes the breaker to trip.
